From hiking Barron Canyon together, to photographing and filming their wedding at Temple’s Sugar Bush, we’ve had the honour of capturing many of their milestones. So when Shannon reached out to book a creative maternity session for baby number two, I couldn’t have been more excited!
This session was part of my 2025 Summer Creative Series—a set of styled, limited-edition photo shoots designed for those who want something a little different, a little artsy, and a lot personal.
A Minimalist Maternity Photoshoot With a DIY Backdrop
To bring Shannon’s vision to life, I created a simple, clean setup using a thrifted white sheet from Value Village (a total win!) and Josh’s professional backdrop stand. The result? A soft, minimalist look that let Shannon and her beautiful baby bump be the focus.
The subtle textures, the light, and the emotion in this session made it feel effortlessly editorial—while still warm and authentic.
