Anya & Samuel’s Intimate Fall Wedding at Domaine Mallity Estate | Hammond, Ontario

ERROR: RAD POST ALERT

On a crisp, golden October day just outside of Ottawa, Anya and Samuel celebrated their intimate wedding at the stunning Domaine Mallity Estate in Hammond, Ontario. Surrounded by just 35 of their closest family and friends, their wedding day was full of joyful laughter, meaningful moments, and heartfelt emotion. As their photo and video team, we (Care + Josh!) felt so lucky to capture this cozy fall celebration.

Getting Ready at Domaine Mallity’s Sugar Shack

Our day started with Samuel and his wedding party in Domaine Mallity’s rustic “sugar shack” — a log house tucked in the back of the estate. Anya had surprised Sam with a sentimental gift: a sleek new watch. His reaction was priceless—he immediately swapped out his current watch to wear the one she gave him, a small but meaningful touch that set the tone for the rest of the day.

Bridal Prep at the Estate’s Main House

Just a quick walk away, Anya was getting ready in the upstairs bridal suite of the main estate building. Her stunning dress from Revelle Bridal needed a final steam (shoutout to her cousin for jumping in!), but her look was already flawless thanks to Em Elser Hair Design + Makeup. One of the sweetest moments? A first look with her bridal party—cue the tears. Seeing your best friends, siblings, and support system light up as you step into your dress never gets old.

A Private First Look & Thoughtful Timeline Planning

Anya and Sam opted for a first look before the ceremony, which not only gave them a quiet moment together but also helped us capture most of their family portraits before guests arrived. This intentional planning allowed them to enjoy golden hour photos and still spend time with loved ones during cocktail hour. Of course, Sam had to show off the new watch from Anya—it was a full-circle moment that tied their morning together beautifully.

Outdoor Ceremony with Guest Ring Blessing

Their outdoor fall ceremony was held beneath a floral-covered arbour designed by Pollen Nation, with vibrant autumn colors creating a picture-perfect backdrop. One of the most unique elements was the ring warming ceremony—each guest had a chance to hold and bless the wedding rings with good wishes and love before they exchanged them. It was a heartfelt way to include their guests in the ceremony.

Before heading back up the aisle, they paused to snap a selfie with everyone in attendance—a sweet, casual moment that reflected how much they valued each of the 35 guests there.

Golden Hour Portraits at Domaine Mallity Estate

Thanks to impeccable timing and coordination, we snuck away during golden hour for portraits on the estate grounds. Domaine Mallity offers endless photo spots, but the golf cart ride to a secluded viewpoint gave us dreamy lighting and the perfect natural backdrop for romantic couple portraits.

Reception Full of Speeches, Tears, and Laughter

The reception kicked off with dinner and flowing speeches throughout the meal—there was never a dull moment. The stories shared were hilarious, emotional, and exactly what heartfelt wedding speeches should be.

The evening continued with first dances, beginning with the father-daughter dance, followed by Anya and Samuel’s first dance as newlyweds.

A Note on Candid Wedding Photography

Anya and Samuel’s wedding is a perfect example of why we love intimate weddings. With fewer guests and a relaxed timeline, there’s so much room for real emotion, candid interactions, and personalized touches. We always prioritize documenting those unscripted moments that couples treasure most.
